Mark Lester, the godfather to Michael Jackson’s youngest child, claims both he and the Jackson family just want justice as Jackson’s physician Dr. Conrad Murray prepares to surrender to authorities in connection with the superstar’s death.

Murray is expected to be charged in Los Angeles this week. Lester addressed reports that the charge would be involuntary manslaughter, saying he believes the maximum four year jail sentence is not enough. The British osteopath believes that the authorities have to make an example of Murray and believes Murray’s actions merit a second degree murder charge and a much harsher prison sentence.
“They really have to make an example of Murray and I fear that justice will not be done in Michael’s case,” he told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “I come from a medical background and this man was giving Michael a pre-operative medication (propofol) which should never have been used to aid sleeping – no matter how much money he was being paid he should have said ‘no.’
“It was a case of money over morals and we have seen in other high profile cases such as Anna Nicole Smith and Heath Ledger these are all preventable deaths. Michael Jackson had a lot of life left in him and his friends and family were left devastated by his sudden death.”

Though Lester knows that nothing will “bring Michael Jackson back” he believes that in the case of Murray, “something has to be done and a strong example set.”
