Watch-out American Idol judges because talented top 24 finalist Crystal Bowersox is ready and willing to attack at all times – just ask her former music partner Frank May.

RadarOnline.com has unearthed images of single mom Bowersox dumping May’s face in a plateful of spaghetti. The pictures were taken by her friend and performance artist Nicky Watts.

The dreadlocked hippie style singer, with the Janis Joplin vibe, is being touted as an early favorite to win this year’s competition.

The tattoo loving singer - who is originally from Toledo, Ohio, isn’t cut from the normal Idol mold but her auditions before getting picked for the Final 24 got rave reviews from Simon Cowell and his fellow judges.

Bowersox toured small venues around the country with May and her one-year-old son Tony before trying out for Idol.

And Bowersox friend Alex Pytko – who auditioned alongside her in Chicgao – believes that  his friend has got what it takes to become the next American Idol.

He told RadarOnline.com: “Crystal is a little unconventional and she likes to have fun with Nicky Watts as they have been friends for a long time and she loves her photography.

“I think she’s really going to surprise people on American Idol because she has this amazing natural talent and people can really relate to her.

“She is an amazing mom to her son Tony and she is really doing this to give him a better future and I think people are really going to support her as the competition moves forward.”
