MTV Mom Officially Charged with Attacking Daughter

MTV mom Debra Danielson was officially charged Wednesday with domestic assault for allegedly attacking her daughter, fellow MTV star Farrah Abraham last Saturday, during an argument at their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Danielson appeared in court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa earlier Wednesday, and while she was expected to enter a plea to the charge, she did not.

Danielson’s daughter Farrah is one of the teenage subjects of the MTV documentary reality series Teen Mom.

According to the incident report filed with the Council Bluffs Police Department in Iowa, the two were arguing in the kitchen "over child care issues as well as other problems" when Danielson threw an MTV t-shirt at her daughter which ended up landing near or on her grandchild who subsequently woke up crying. From there, things escalated.

"The victim was yelling at Danielson over the shirt throwing and Danielson grabbed her by the throat. The victim pushed Danielson's hand away from her. Victim stated the Danielson then hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth," read the report.
The officer on the scene said: "I observed multiple cuts to the right side of the victim's mouth." The women live together and photos of Abraham's neck and face were taken at the scene.
Danielson was arrested for "Domestic Abuse Serious Assault" and later released on her own recognizance.
She was ordered back in court on February 26 for her preliminary hearing. At that time, the judge will decide whether there is enough evidence to order her to stand trial.
