Michael Jackson's brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon, the living members of the Jackson 5, appeared on the Today Show Thursday for an interview with Matt Lauer about their new reality series, The Jack5ons A Family Dynasty.

Jackie Jackson said he first learned of his brother's June 25 death from a TV screen graphic while he was shopping with his nieces and nephews at Las Vegas' Venetian hotel.

Said Jackie: "I was just looking at a screen of Michael, of a picture of Michael, and all of a sudden someone said, 'Your brother passed.' I said, 'No way, you're kidding me.' I called my mom and she said, 'It's true.'"

The brothers admitted they were somewhat skeptical when they learned the news of his death from the media, only truly buying into the idea when family members such as mother Katherine and sister Janet confirmed the news.

The brothers said they have been working on the program prior to Michael's death, and that they know their departed sibling would have approved them honoring their commitment, even in the face of tragedy.

"That's what he would he would have wanted us to do, to keep moving forward," Jermaine said.

The Jack5ons A Family Dynasty premieres on A&E December 13 at 9/8c.
