Chris Brown on Thursday responded to Rihanna's November interview on Good Morning America, in which she said Brown, during their fight in February, "had no soul in his eyes" and "was clearly blacked-out."
"I was wrong for what I did," Brown said in response to Rihanna's comments, adding he still hasn't put the "touchy" incident past him.
"I'm really sorry for what went down and what happened," he said. "I'm human, I'm hurting inside ... it's devastating to me."
He said he still has love for the Umbrella singer.
Brown was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to do 180 days of community labor as a part of the plea deal he made in June for his assault, which took place in in Hancock Park, California. The restraining order issued to Brown orders him to keep his distance from her for five years.
The entire interview airs on ABC's 20/20 Friday at 10/9c.
