HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE:
OK, so you're shopping for that special tween girl, and tired of spending money on all those trendy Twilight chotchkies they will get over quicker than you can say High School Musical. That's where EA comes in with a pair of new titles -- Charm Girls Club and Littlest Pet Shop Friends -- that will surely have your tween smiling from ear-to-ear when they unwrap them this holiday season.
Charm Girls Club is a great interactive game that lets girls pick a character, customize it to their liking and compete for virtual charms through a gauntlet of malls, fashion, proms, pillow fights, hair teasing and the like; think Club Penguin, but a few years older.
Then there's Littlest Pet Shop Friends, a video game adaptation of the No. 1 mini-doll brand in North America whose digital collection, released a year ago, has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide, and for good reason: the game has customizable characters (the Great Dane, the Peacock, the Messy Cat, the Beaver), special missions and more surprises that will have your precious one captivated for hours.
Both games are available on Nintendo’s DSS and Wii consoles; for more info, check out charmgirlsclub.com and littlestpetshopfriends.com
