Last-Minute Xmas Gift: Dave Matthews Boxed Set

A perfect last-minute Christmas gift, the Dave Matthews Band’s new box set, Europe 2009, released today includes three CDs, a DVD and an exclusive photo book capturing the band’s 2009 tour behind their latest studio album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King—which debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 and was recently nominated for Grammys for "Album Of The Year" and "Best Rock Album."
The box set includes three CDs entitled Dave Matthews Band: Live from Lucca, which were recorded live at the group's July 5, 2009 show at the plaza in Lucca, Italy. Inspired by the gorgeous surroundings, the group delivered one of its longest concerts ever at nearly three hours, packed with both old hits and new cuts from Big Whiskey.
Also included in the box set is Across the Pond, a concert film directed by Sam Erickson and shot in the historic Brixton Academy in South London on 10 HD cameras on July 26, 2009. It also includes five bonus tracks from the band's June 25th O2 Academy show.
Hailed as the top-drawing American band in the world by Billboard, DMB has sold 16 million tickets and a collective 35 million albums and DVDs combined. The band will return to Europe in early 2010, with a tour launching February 13th in Stockholm and culminating with five U.K. dates in March.
