They wanted to speak to her in connection with a burglary Jon Gosselin reported at the apartment the two previously shared.
Without naming Hailey as the suspect, Gosselin's attorney Mark Heller called the person who ransacked his client's apartment "troubled and sick." He claimed a butcher knife was used to destroy everything from clothes to curtains.
RadarOnline.com was the first to report that Hailey had brought in high-powered attorney Ovadia to protect her interests.
Ovadia and Ahuja were back with the cops Sunday afternoon, this time with Hailey's parents, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
"After speaking with Hailey, the police wanted to talk to her parents," Mr. Ahuja told us.
The New York Police Department confirmed that it is looking into the situation. "There is an investigation," Sgt. Nieves told RadarOnline.com. "We are not making any further comment at this time."
