A Swiss court approved Roman Polanski’s bail offer for $4.5 million. The terms would be that instead of staying in prison, Polanski would be kept under house arrest and electronic monitoring at his Swiss chalet.
According to the Swiss Justice of Ministry, they will keep him in jail until it decides whether to appeal his release to the Swiss supreme court. The decision is expected to be made “quickly” though the ministry has ten days to appeal.
