Fighting back tears, Kate Gosselin told The Today Show on Monday she only has $1,000 to care for her children after husband Jon took $230,000 out of their joint account last week.
“He took $230,000 of the $231,000 we had,” the 34-year-old reality TV mom told Meredith Vieira in New York . “I have a stack of bills. The last thing I wanted was to do this show and end up not being able to pay our bills.

“I’m hanging in there. It’s hard. Every morning I don’t know what I’m going to wake up to,” Kate told Vieira. “He has gone way far off the trail; obviously, I am very upset. I can’t sleep at night. I can’t pay my bills. I think he’s receiving bad advice. I think he’s making bad decisions."
Kate admitted in the interview she had withdrawn a large sum of money from the account earlier this year, but later returned it because of stipulations on the couple’s separation agreement.

“I removed it to keep it safe,” she said. “I had taken $100,000 and put it aside safely so I could buy my kids food if needed.”
Jon appeared on Larry King Live last week, and said he wanted “Kate and I to mediate. I want us to become friends."
Last week, TLC announced it was dropping Jon’s name from the title of the show, renaming it “Kate Plus 8.” Jon responded by demanding that TLC stop production of the show.
