Michael David Barrett, the man arrested in connection with the secret videotaping of nude ESPN reporter Erin Andrews (that leaked online in July), will be in a Chicago courtroom Monday, where authorities determine if he is eligible for bail, or if he will stay in custody until a hearing date in Los Angeles.
A Chicago federal magistrate sent Barrett, a 47-year-old traveling salesman from Westmont, Illinois, back to Los Angeles (where the interstate stalking charge was filed). The taping, officials said, occurred at the Marriott Nashville at Vanderbilt University, on Sept. 4, 2008.

"I hope that today's action will help the countless others who have been similarly victimized," Andrews said in a statement upon Barrett's arrest Sunday. "I will make every effort to strengthen the laws on a state and federal level to better protect victims of criminal stalking. I am also grateful to those who have expressed their concerns and good wishes for my family and me."
