Kate Gosselin: “I Don’t Feel Like Its Time" To End Show; Swaps Out Wedding Ring

Kate Gosselin, appearing on the Today Show Monday, discussed the future of her show, custody arrangements, her wedding ring and her ongoing divorce proceedings with husband Jon.

The 34-year-old reality TV mom said that husband Jon can decide to stop the production of the show at his whim, per an agreement TLC made earlier that if one parent objected, they would not go forward.

“I don’t feel like it’s time to end it," she said. "The nine of us who want to continue it should be able to do it. We’re still enjoying it; it still needs to go forward. It’s what we are doing. I don’t know what else to say.”

For the first time since their split, Kate is no longer wearing her original wedding ring. Instead on the Today Show, Kate donned  the Hawaiian ring Jon gave her in Aug. 2008 when the then-happy duo renewed their vows. Kate  said the ring  is only temporary:  "I'm changing them out; I'm switching them out."

She said she is in the process of getting a ring fitted that is representative of her and her children.

"We discussed a ring I might buy," she said. "It has eight little diamonds and a mother of pearl."

Confirming a previous RadarOnline.com exclusive, Kate said Jon had indeed called her asking to redo the current arrangement, one of the two times the once-happily married parents of eight have spoken in the past two weeks.

Kate said she won't consider the 90-day hiatus toward her divorce husband Jon proposed last week, saying, "I don’t feel like we need to stop the divorce proceedings,” adding that while she wants peace so badly, "peace is really far away."

"Actions speak louder than words," Kate said. "Come what may, I know that my actions are solely for the kids. I have a lot of peace about this. I know my actions are appropriate and well thought out.”
