Michael Lohan says TLC is taking advantage of his good friend Jon Gosselin.
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Lohan calls TLC's statement (which calls Jon opportunistic and self-destructive) "hypocritical nonsense."
"If anyone's opportunistic, it's TLC!" Lohan told RadarOnline.com. "Here they are, trying to cut him out of the show but they want him kept under wraps so he can't move forward and do something on his own."
Gosselin, who appeared on Larry King Live Thursday night, is actively pursuing a reality show of his own, The Divorced Dad's Club, Lohan says.
"TLC is afraid of the competion! They know he has potential to do well on his own but they're being malicious about it. Jon hasn't been edging himself out of the show. TLC has had things going on in the wings-there's hypocrisy flying all over the place."

On Thursday, Kate Gosselin lashed out at Jon in her own statement, saying "Jon's priority is Jon and his interests. My children remain my priority and their well being. But Lohan says, not so.
"I think it's nonsense. I think both parents care about their kids very much and they are both their interests," he told Radaronline.com. "Just because Jon wants to pursue something outside his show with Kate, doesn't mean that he still doesn't love his kids, and that his kids aren't number one in his life."
