A top cop has told RadarOnline.com that there is NO DANGER of new realty dad Eric Hayes behaving like Jon and Kate Plus 8 ‘train-wreck’ Jon Gosselin.
While womanizing and pot smoking Gosselin has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after his marriage to Kate Gosselin disintegrated in a blaze of publicity Eric Hayes has been an exemplary police officer.
And when the new episode of TLC show Table for 12 debuts with Eric and his wife Elizabeth Hayes, plus their 12 kids, America will be watching a very different reality father in action.
His boss - Malboro Police Department Commanding Officer Bart Lombardo - told RadarOnline.com exclusively: “There is no way Eric Hayes will behave like that – he is one of the best officers we have.
“Eric is a ‘squared-away’ type of guy who is focused on his career and his family which has always been his number one priority.
“He is an outstanding officer who is involved in our youth training initiative where he goes-out to local schools and talks about the dangers of guns, drugs and alcohol.
“But he is also part of our Emergency Response Team which could see him going-out as part of our S.W.A.T. group who could be called-out to a potentially very serious incident.

“Eric is the type of guy who’s interested in both education and law enforcement and he’s a perfect role model for people to see on television.
“Everybody at the police department respects him as do the local community too – I don’t see there being a Jon Gosselin type situation at all because Eric is a totally grounded person.”
Hayes and his ‘stay at home’ wife have received a lot of support from the police department and the local community to help them raise their twelve kids.
She gave birth by Cesarean section at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey on September 14, 2004, to her sextuplets – the delivery of the six babies took less than three minutes with the smallest baby Rachel Ann weighing just 3 pounds 9 ounces.
They already had two sets of twins when the sextuplets were born – twin brothers Kevin and Kyle were eight while boy/girl twins Kieran and Meghan were only five.
All of their children were born through fertility treatments – Table for 12 starts next month.
