Kate Gosselin's poor showing as guest host on last week's The View - The Baltimore Sun called her "intellectually and verbally slow" - has cast doubt on her ability to play a major role in Mom Logic, the new chat and information series she's taping Sunday in New York.

Mom Logic will star Paula Deen, the Food Network superstar and proven TV personality. In addition to Kate Gosselin, other moms set for the pilot episode are Lee Woodruff, wife of ABC newsman Bob Woodruff, and former Early Show co-host Rene Syler.
The pilot is taping in the same New York studio that is the home to Martha Stewart and Tyra Banks' shows.
RadarOnline.com was the first to break the news about Kate's involvement with Mom Logic.
Paula is said to have the final say on who will ultimately be cast on the panel with her.
Kate is still under contract to TLC for Jon & Kate Plus 8 but she is anxious to eventually break away from anything that continues to tie her financially to her ex-husband. Mom Logic would be that break-away project.
