With Ellen DeGeneres having dashed all hopes of her returning to American Idol for a bigger paycheck and rumors swirling about her private reaction to the news, who can blame Paula Abdul for being a little protective of her image.  RadarOnline.com has learned that while preparing for her latest gig as host of the upcoming VH1 Divas, Abdul had her own diva moment after viewing one particular lighthearted skit which she later demanded to have changed.

According to a source, Abdul freaked out and started bawling after viewing the pre-taped skit before demanding for it to be changed. The producers complied with some “minor changes” but the drama didn’t end there.

“It’s getting stressful,” the source added about the many last-minute changes Abdul is requesting, including one for her big dance number.

When asked about her demands, Abdul rep told RadarOnline.com: "it's a live show, of course they're making last-minute changes."
