EXCLUSIVE: Joe Francis Loses Bid To Have Trial Delayed

Joe Francis has lost a bid to have his tax evasion trial continued, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Francis has been charged with two counts of tax evasion and was requesting another delay in his trial.
Judge James Otero writes in his ruling, "Since the filing of the action in April 2007, trial has been continued six times at Mr. Francis request. Most recently, the Court continued the trial from August 17, 2009 to October 14, 2009 in response to Mr. Francis' request for a one to two month continuance, and confirmed with both Mr. Francis and the Government that the new date was acceptable before setting it."
Francis' trial is set to start on October 17th, 2009. Francis is also being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for a run-in with Brody Jenner's girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, inside a Los Angeles area nightclub.
