Three days after tweeting about his breakup with ex-fiance Karina Smirnoff, Dancing with the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy has deleted all tweets relating to his broken heart.

On Monday, the DWTS hunk wrote, "What was meant to be a life long book, turned into a chapters and now that chapter is finished. Se la vie."

But on Wednesday, it looked like Maksim had taken the post down, replacing it instead with tweets relating solely to DWTS.

So did the pro dancer get a lashing from Karina over the public airing of their breakup? Or could these two be on the mend?

Karina's rep confirmed that the former couple, "did indeed break up."

But it was little over a week ago that Karina tweeted happily about picking out window treatments with Maksim. The couple, who became engaged on New Year's Even, was due to wed in June 2010.

Whatever the case, these two unfortunately still have to work together on the upcoming season 9 of Dancing with the Stars. Maksim is paired with Debi Mazar. Karina is dancing with Aaron Carter.
