Ever the protective father, Michael Lohan is fuming over what he says are relentless attempts to rob his daughter Lindsay, after another break-in was made at her Los Angeles home.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Lohan says, "I’m sick of people bugging my daughter and using her. This is not the first time she’s been robbed."

The robbery in question is said to have happened in the wee hours Sunday morning, where a few luxury items were swiped and a safe tampered with. Lindsay arrived home to the mess, as well as missing clothes, accessories and jewels.

"I’m working with the police but at the same time, I have my own people. I’ve hired private investigators and I’m going to work my own investigation and find out who did this," Lohan tells us.

A police spokesperson there is a "possible burglary investigation going on."

The dad and Jon Gosselin pal declined to comment further on the nature of the break-in for fear of tampering with the ongoing probe.

"Lindsay is not ok. she’s very upset and feels extremely violated. I’m just happy Ali and Lindsay weren’t home at the time. But I feel that they were kept out of the house for a reason," Lohan said.
