Lauren Conrad & The Hills' Cast Get The Fine Art Treatment

We're sure the likes of Andy Warhol would agree -- there's a degree of art in the frothiest of culture, even in MTV's The Hills.
That's at least what artist Karin Bubaš sees, as she's currently rolling out a collection of pastel portraits of the major players in The Hills cast.
The Bubaš exhibition, entitled "With Friends Like These..." is now on display at the Charles H. Scott Gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia until September 13, 2009. The exhibit was inspired by the trademark expressions of the characters, ones that define their entire function in the glossy, chatty universe MTV created.

"We all share Lauren's frustration as she fights with Audrina and bursts into tears, her watery black mascara rolling down her cheeks. We experience aggravation over how Spencer treats Heidi and her frustrating complacency... these drawings conjure visions of our collective social experience," says exhibit curator Cate Rimmer.
