Ponzi schemer extraordinaire Bernie Madoff was less than six degrees away from actor Kevin Bacon: the flimflam man robbed the Footloose star and wife Kyra Sedgwick of every dime not tied up in their property holdings and checking accounts -- basically, everything but their shirts.
In an upcoming interview for Ladies Home Journal, Sedgwick breaks her silence about the huge financial losses the celeb couple took after trusting Madoff with their finances.
She said, like other Americans, a lack of money has caused her to take inventory of what really counts in life.
Said The Closer star: "I think the economy has forced a lot of people to look inward and go, What really fulfills me so I don't have to go out and buy? Getting back to simple pleasures is a good thing; There are moments when I ask the universe, 'Is this the right thing to be doing right now?'"

Sedgwick said that the lack of response to smoke signals circulating around Madoff's sticky fingers still irritate her.
"The fact that someone blew the whistle on Madoff three times and nobody did anything about it?" she said. "It was hideous."
