Beam this up, Scotty. Vuzix's iWear AV310 Widescreen video eyewear ($249.95) is the only way to watch movies on a plane, train or automobile. No more lugging your heavy laptop or dvd player through customs just for entertainment purposes. This plug and play, 4 oz. device transforms your small portable players (iPod, dvd player, video camera, cellular phone, game console and laptop computer) into a large private, 16:9, 52" virtual home theater. Seeing is believing with this 3-D Geordi looking contraption.

The visor can be worn with or without glasses and pivoted for optimum viewing angles. We loved the clarity adjustments under each eye. Perfect for watching whatever you want, wherever you want, without strangers rudely looking over your shoulder. A single AA battery gives you 11 hours worth of viewing.
Don’t expect high definition viewing but this beats watching a movie on your iPod any day of the week. We didn’t care for their included removable earphones but instead opted for a handy dandy noise canceling headset for a really cool home theater experience at thirty thousand feet. The immersive eyeshield (pic below) is also a must. Overall, the iWear AV310 gets two thumbs up!
