Mary Jo Buttafuoco is back.
The Long Island housewife -- whose May 1992 shooting at the hands of her ex-husband Joey's teen mistress Amy Fisher, leaving her disfigured, was a sizzling hot story of the 90s -- told Good Morning America Monday that she realized Joey was a sociopath after getting more familiar with the condition on the Internet.
She said, in her new book, Getting It Through My Thick Skull, she regrets standing by his side at the time while he made their last name "a worldwide punch line," calling him a sociopath and a liar; the couple divorced in 2003.

She looked much better -- somewhat resembling Sopranos star Edie Falco (whose character, Carmella, was coincidentally married to a sociopath) after admittedly having some cosmetic surgery to restore her looks after Fisher's fateful shot.
Getting It Through My Thick Skull is in stores now.
