The Bachelorette’s Jillian Harris reunited with Chicago tech consultant Ed Swiderski on ABC’s After The Rose special Tuesday night and announced that the two plan to marry within the next 12 months.
It was their first meeting since Jillian picked Ed on the big finale of The Bachelorette Monday night, leaving studly Kiptyn Locke of San Diego shocked and heartbroken.
Talking with The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison Tuesday, Ed revealed – in between kisses -- that the Canadian beauty is planning to move to his downtown Chicago pad soon. He also predicted the couple will tie the knot within the next year. In an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday, when asked again when they would marry, both Jillian and Ed changed their timetable, saying between “12 months to 18 months.”
Before reuniting on the Bachelorette special, Jillian was forced to confront two of her spurned suitors. Jillian first sat down with Kiptyn, who asked: “What could I have done differently?” to which Jillian responded: “You didn’t do anything wrong.. You’re someone who made me feel very loved.”
Next, Jillian sat on the couch with Reid Rosenthal, the handsome, but reserved Philadelphian, who made a surprise return on the show’s finale and professed his undying love to Jillian before actually proposing.

“When I came back, was there a part of you that wanted to say ‘yes’?” Reid asked Jillian. She answered: “I think you know I knew that when I let you go I wasn’t ready to let you go.”
Jillian then thanked him for returning on the finale, but admitted that having to reject him again was “heartwrenching.” Said Jillian: “I still feel hurt and I don’t want him to hurt”. Reid said he thought his surprise proposal would be a “slam dunk.”
A lighthearted moment in the show came when a young woman in the audience asked Reid if he would go on a date with her. Reid said he hasn’t dated since being dumped by Jillian, and wasn’t ready yet.
