The American Idol caravan is in Orlando this week, drawing thousands of hopefuls looking to be the next Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert or Jennifer Hudson.
Wrote Idol host Ryan Seacrest on his Twitter page Thursday: "In orlando...looks like 9,000ish at amway arena..our cameras are on and I will be shooting the show open in an hour or so..any of u in line?"
Anxious singers, such as 17-year-old Stephanie Parker, showed up as early as 4 a.m. to get a spot in line for the coveted chance to try out for the top-rated TV show.
"Everyday is so wonderful, and suddenly it's hard to breath," Parker, suffering from a case of last-minute butterflies, told WFTV. "Now and then I get so insecure."
