TV: Thursday Hot List

True Blood may be off the air till next summer but there’s a juicy new vampire show on the block to help tide you over til then. The Vampire Diaries is The CW’s newest hit and we urge you to give it a try if the living dead is your thang. Tonight, vampire Damon starts to hint to Elena that perhaps there’s a family secret she should know about—prompting her to ask vampire Stefan—and therefore causing major drama between the brothers.
Another show we hope, hope, hope you’re giving a chance is the hilarious (and dark) new NBC single-camera comedy Community. It stars The Soup’s Joel McHale at his absolute funniest along side the legendary Chevy Chase. Tonight, Jeff (McHale) tries yet again to take a class that he’s sure will be easy—only to be sadly mistaken.
And Private Practice kicks off its third season tonight with Addison and Naomi struggling in the ER to save Violet—whose baby and attacker are still missing.
