TV: Thursday Hot List
July 16 2009, Published 3:17 p.m. ET
After a break for the Olympics and to make room for the birth of Jim and Pam’s baby last week, 30 Rock is back. Tonight, poor Liz Lemon believes that she met her soul mate at the dentist—and goes on a full-fledged mission to track him down and win him over. And Elizabeth Banks returns as conservative newscaster Avery who breaks the news to Jack that a cable company may buy NBC. Meanwhile, Jenna helps Tracy on his mission to win an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) by helping him win the Tony portion of that equation.
Have you been watching The Marriage Ref? You know, the new Jerry Seinfeld produced show that takes mundane fights between married couples and leaves it up to a panel of celebrities to decide who’s in the right? Definitely add it to your list tonight as it’s hilarious and comedian Tom Papa—he serves as the actual “ref”—is just hysterical.
And, there’s lots of craziness on Bravo—check out the second part of the drama filled Real Housewives of Orange County reunion followed by a new episode of the Real Housewives of New York City. Tonight, Ramona and LuAnn both throw parties on Labor Day—forcing the other ladies to choose!
