TV: Sunday Hot List
July 16 2009, Published 12:08 p.m. ET
After a little break for the holiday season, the first-run TV viewing options are back in full force this evening!
When we last left the ladies of Wisteria Lane on Desperate Housewives—a jet crashed right into their holiday party! The cliffhanger? We had no idea if Bree, Karl and Orson made it out alive. Well, before the survivors are revealed, the women deal with the aftermath by playing “what if” and imagine how their lives could have been different if they made different choices. For example—Susan thinks about what would have been if she never divorced Karl!
On perhaps the biggest and most exciting (and two hour!) edition of Iron Chef America, First Lady Michelle Obama arrives to fill the chefs in on their secret ingredient—the White House garden! So, chefs Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali go up against chef Bobby Flay and White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford to create the “ultimate meal for America.”
After the excitement of watching some of the best chefs in the world do their thing—leave it to the Food Network to take us to the opposite side of the spectrum. Worst Cooks in America is a new reality competition featuring 12 of the most self-proclaimed, awful chefs around. Chefs Beau MacMillan and Anne Burrell put them though a ten day culinary boot camp to whip them into gourmet shape—with a $25,000 prize at stake for the winner!
