In the grand tradition of sitcoms like Friends and Seinfeld—How I Met Your Mother is becoming one of those shows that you’ll be quoting and referencing for years to come. One of our HIMYM favorites makes its return with the “Slap Bet.” It’s the ongoing anticipation of not if but when Marshall will slap Barney. Tonight, things heat up when Marshall hands over one of his slaps to Ted and Robin!

And, please try to contain your sadness but tonight is the last episode of Jon and Kate Plus Eight. You know this isn’t the last we’re going to see of the Gosselin clan (and those kids are going to write a hell of a tell-all one day) but for now, Jon and Kate (separately, of course) reflect on the changes as well as the ups and downs in their lives since the show first began. For the final bit of cuteness, we’ll also see Kate take the kids to a dairy farm and Jon take them to a fire station. Cute but the show has absolutely run its course!
