TV: Friday Hot List
July 16 2009, Published 12:50 p.m. ET
With the devastating earthquake in Haiti leaving so many homeless and helpless, all we can do is provide any sort of aid and relief we can offer. Tonight the live telethon, Hope for Haiti airs on multiple networks including CBS and MTV. Hosted by George Clooney, Anderson Cooper and Wyclef Jean in New York and LA—they’re expected to welcome major stars and musical guests to drum up the support the earthquake victims so desperately need.
And tonight also marks the end of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. His last show airs this evening before Jay Leno resumes hosting duties next month. We’re sure that Conan will handle his last show with as much grace and decorum as he’s shown throughout this whole late night mess. In case you’ve been living under a rock—Jay Leno’s 10pm show has been canceled and Conan has rejected an offer from NBC to move The Tonight Show to 12:05am ET so Jay can have a half hour program at 11:35pm ET. We hope Conan finds his rightful place back on late-night TV very soon!
