The Simpsons Are Turning 20!
July 25 2009, Published 12:19 p.m. ET
Don’t have a cow, man, but it’s really hard to remember a time when the world wasn’t held captive by the antics of Bart Simpson and his friends in Springfield. Believe it or not, come January, The Simpsons will celebrate TWENTY years on the air! To mark this milestone, acclaimed documentarian and Simpson’s fan Morgan Spurlock (you know, the guy behind Supersize Me) is producing and directing THE SIMPSONS ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL -- IN 3-D! ON ICE! to showcase everything and everyone that firmly implanted The Simpsons in pop culture history. The special doesn’t air until Thursday, January 14th, 2010—the actual premiere date of the very first episode—but if you just so happen to either be a true Simpsons fanatic or look like (or sound like) a Springfield resident and plan on being at Comic-con in San Diego this weekend than you may have a shot at appearing on the special! Morgan is holding an open casting call on Saturday, July 25th, between 10 and 8pm. So, grab some doughnuts and your skateboard and head on over to:
