Private, a Web series from the great minds that brought you Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries, is slated to make its debut Tuesday.
The innovative Web program launches Tuesday, with a six-part reality series getting viewers familiar with three finalists who were chosen through an online contest to compete for a role in the production; after the show is launched, the 20-spot series will be launched, with three new, four-minute episodes released each week throughout the summer.
The Web-based series, adapted from the bestselling book, will mark the acting debut of Evan Taubenfeld, who is Avril Lavigne's musical director and lead guitarist.
"Alloy Entertainment’s audience is already huge fans of Evan’s music, and we know they are going to be as impressed as we are when they see his acting debut," said Les Morgenstein.
Kelsey Sanders, of iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place fame, is featured in the production, as well.
