Now, every girl can be Bettie Page.
Painted Pinups, a Southern California photography studio, is taking a high-tech approach to vintage cheesecake.
"Our niche is that we make the images look like classic pinup paintings," photographer Chad Scott said. "Not only are they getting beautiful photographs, you get a work of art to bring home and hang on your wall."

Painted Pinups produces photo-based portraits of women, presented in the timeless form of the pinup models who adorned walls fifty years ago.
The inimitable images -- which often leave the viewer wondering if they are looking at a photo or a painting -- are the end result of an undertaking the studio said consists of high-end photography, retouching, hair/makeup styling and digital manipulation.
Once photographed, the pinup girl's image is placed in scenes varying from off-Broadway nightlife, to inside a Martini glass, to the Amazon rain forest -- anything the customer can imagine, according to Painted Pinups founders Scott and Kirt Pettey.
Painted Pinups also hosts parties offering all of the aforementioned services for groups of five or more; Scott said the pinup parties are popular for bachelorette or birthday parties.
