RadarOnline.com has an amazing set of award-winning shots a Seattle photographer took in the Amazon jungle.

The winner of the Prince’s Rainforests Project award in the Sony World Photography competition, Daniel Beltrá, will receive funding to conduct future photo shoots in the world's three major rainforest regions, Sony said. His photos will also be on display at London's Kew Gardens this October.

Beltrá said the experience of photographing the "beauty, the wildlife, the local people and also the destruction" of the rainforest has been incredible.

"It is has been an eye-opening journey so far and I’m looking forward to photographing the Central African and South East Asian rain forests on the next parts of my trip. I hope the photos I produce will make a strongly persuasive argument for emergency action to preserve the world's tropical rainforests."

Sony told RadarOnline.com that the event was designed to help raise awareness of the effects of deforestation and to gain more support for the Prince’s Rainforests Project in its efforts to protect the rainforest.

Sony Europe today released photos from Beltra’s visit to the Amazon, which can be seen online here.
