David Letterman Apologizes To Sarah Palin

Late night host David Letterman has cleared his throat yet again in regards to jokes he cracked about the daughter of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
"I told a joke that was beyond flawed, and my intent is completely meaningless compared to the perception," he said following his monologue on Monday's show.
"I would like to apologize, especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the Governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke. I’m sorry about it and I’ll try to do better in the future."

This full apology comes on the heels of a week of controversy, where Governor Palin has been blasting the funnyman in press for a joke he made about daughter Willow liaising with baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
Letterman addressed the situation, though not with such sincerity, last week when he admitted he regretted off-color jokes frequently.
