Simon Says Kara DioGuardi's Job Safe For Next Year

Adam Lambert may be the odds-on favorite to take American Idol, but the show already has another winner.
Kara DioGuardi, the fourth judge added to the popular show's panel, will be returning next season, Simon Cowell told Ellen DeGeneres during a taping of her talk show slated to air Tuesday.
Cowell said that, independent of DioGuardi's performance, he is still critical of the time constraints brought upon by an extra judge.
“There’s less time for us to talk. One week literally we couldn’t talk, so 10 minutes before the show started they said, ‘Oh by the way you can’t talk for half the show,’” Cowell said. “It’s rather like saying in a singing competition to the singers, half of you can’t sing.
