If looks could kill, you'd be reading Kara Dioguardi's memorial right about now.
Thankfully, the sassy American Idol judge is alive and well after ambushing a scantily-clad Idol hopeful.
Enter Katrina Darell, a.k.a. "Bikini Girl."
You might remember the attractive 20-year-old as the would-be pop star who wore a bikini during auditions, as a gimmick to distance herself from the pack. Darell eventually wound up verbally sparring with then-brand new judge Kara Dioguardi over a performance of Mariah Carey's breakout hit, Vision Of Love.
Sex sells, and it was naturally good ratings move to trot out (a noticeably bustier) Darell out a second time on Wednesday's season finale, bringing her back to accept a tongue-in-cheek award for "Best Attitude." The vision of silicone then graced the audience with a live performance of Carey's 1990 hit.
That's when things got dicey, as the voice of Darell's Idol tormentor, Dioguardi, began echoing during the performance, as she walked down a stage and literally, stole Darell's spotlight. Getting contemptuous glares from a startled Darell, Dioguardi reciprocated the eye contact with "I'm better than you" look to her young rival.
DioGuardi, in a move that would win her favorite charity some money, unbuttoned her black dress to reveal her own sexy body, and wrapped up the set with an insincere embrace with Darell.
