Barring a major upset, it appears as if Adam Lambert has this season's crown on the popular variety show all sewn up -- even Simon Cowell thinks so.
Appearing on Oprah Winfrey Monday, Cowell told the talk show host he believed Lambert would win the competition because of his fearlessness, uniqueness and swagger.
The 27-year-old Los Angeles vocalist is a 1-to-3 favorite, according to Sportsbook.com, to prevail in the competition, which is down to the final three after last week's dismissal of teen prodigy Allison Iraheta. Lambert's final challengers are Milwaukee everyman Danny Gokey, who is a 5-to-2 underdog; and Arkansas heartthrob Kris Allen, who stands as a 3-to-1 underdog entering Tuesday's show.
This week's show will feature the competitors performing in their hometowns. For songs, they will get to sing on of their choosing and one chosen by the judges. This year's winner will be announced May 20.
