IDOL PREVIEW: Final Four Set To Rock & Roll

And then there were four.
The remaining quarter of this season's crop of American Idol contenders -- Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Danny Gokey -- will showcase their wares on rock 'n' roll night Tuesday.
Despite landing in the bottom three last week, odds-makers still place the 27-year-old Lambert as a strong, 1-to-3 favorite to take this year's top honors. He has shown extreme versatility in adapting to each of the show's genres, so don't be surprised if he comes out rocking with a vengeance this week based on last week's snub.
Lambert's loss would most likely mean Danny Gokey's gain. Gokey, at 2-to-1 according to Sportsbook.com, is clearly the heir apparent should Lambert crumble under the pressure of the final weeks. The Milwaukee, WI. native has shown talent, consistency and enthusiasm in all of his appearances to date.
The remaining two competitors, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen are both 8-to-1 long shots.
Iraheta's proven she's got a great set of pipes, but might lack the polish of her three remaining peers. Still, the rock genre complements her strong vocals so don't be surprised to see her sneak past Allen into the top three. Allen -- despite being the clear teenybopper favorite with the exodus of Matt Giraud last week -- is overmatched by the competition and will really need something different and memorable to keep his spot on the show.
American Idol airs Tuesday on Fox at 8/7c.
