EXCLUSIVE VIDEO & POLL: Jon and Kate...Plus A Ghostwriter?
May 21 2009, Published 5:18 a.m. ET
The first book from Kate Gosselin, the reality TV mom from Jon & Kate Plus 8, was completely written by her estranged friend Beth Carson, her brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Jodi Kreider said in an explosive new interview on RadarOnline.com.
The book, Multiple Blessings: Surviving To Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets, was released in Oct. 2008, crediting Kate and Jon Gosselin, along with writer Carson. While such arrangements are common amongst celebrity-penned books, the Gosselins' in-laws said that the couple themselves contributed virtually nothing to the final product.
"Kate's friend wrote the book, Jon and Kate lived the book," Jodi said.
Kevin elaborated on the process.
"If you're talking author-wise -- all Beth," Kevin said. "Kate would go away with Beth for a weekend -- and Beth would write it while Kate would sleep. Jodi, then corrects him, "not sleep, she'd be on the phone."
