Sunday TV
It’s a fun night tonight as we go waaay back with the 2009 TV Land Awards! Neil Patrick Harris holds court as they honor classic TV shows like M*A*S*H, Home Improvement and Married with Children, as well as (SPOILER ALERT!) the cast of Two and a Half Men who will receive the Future Classic Award. I’m just excited that the legendary Sid and Marty Kroft will be honored tonight! I mean how can you not love the people that brought us OLD SCHOOOOL favs like Land of the Lost, The Bugaloos, The Banana Splits, H.R. Pufnstuff, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters! Come on! Now THAT was TV!
So let's see, what can I say about Daisy of Love which premieres on VH1 tonight? Hmm, well… after an unsuccessful love match with Bret Michaels on Rock of Love, scantily clad vixen, Daisy de la Hoya gathers twenty himbos at her Hollywood Hills mansion to find, ahem, love. Bottom line, if you like spit swappin’, hot tubbin’, ass kickin’, testosterone spewin’, hoochie outfit wearin’ trainwrecks, then you will LOVE this show!
And if that’s not scary enough for you, tune in to see Famke Janssen on SCI FI’s horror flick, 100 Feet, where she plays a woman under house arrest and haunted by the ghost of her husband. BTW, for all the L-Word fans who were hoping to see sexy Famke as a lesbian in the much talked about L-Word spinoff, The Farm, sadly, your thirst may go unquenched! The spinoff centers on a women’s prison where Alice (Leisha Hailey) has been sent, assumedly for murdering Jenny Schecter (Mia Kirshner) in the series finale of the L-Word. But the pilot got a big “Sorry, we pass!” from the L-Word’s former network, Showtime. All I know is lots of fingers are crossed that another network will snatch it up!
