And you thought Nadya "Octo-Mom" Suleman had a crowded house.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the devout Christian parents of a 20-member Arkansas family documented on TLC's 18 Kids And Counting, will be welcoming a new addition to the family this fall -- their first grandchild.
The couple, surrounded by their 18 kids, appeared on The Today Show Monday. Their son John and wife Anna Keller are due to become parents Oct. 12.
“We are so thrilled and so excited for Josh and Anna,” Michelle said, as she held the family's latest addition, infant Jordyn-Grace.
Josh said that he wasn't sure if he would maintain the family's tradition regarding naming the baby as the family has given all 18 children (Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jeremiah, Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, and baby Jordyn-Grace) names starting with the letter "J."
“We’re pretty sure we’re not going to go with J,” he jovially joked.
And don't think the touch of gray grand-parenting will slow down Jim Bob and Michelle from more procreating.
"We would love more,’’ Michelle said. “We really believe that each child is a gift from God. We would love to receive more gifts if the Lord sees fit. I guess we’ll just wait and see.”
Michelle told the show she saw nothing awkward about having kids that would be about the same age as her nascent grandchild.
