Infamy Lands Disgraced Politician On NBC Reality Show

The ex-Illinois governor, who was removed from office after corruption charges surfaced, will star on NBC's I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, a reality show the network has slated for its summer schedule.

Blagojevich's attorney told a federal judge Tuesday that he will begin the process to have the discarded politician's travel restrictions relaxed. He will need a judge's approval to begin filming, as the show is set in Costa Rica.

The 52-year-old has pleaded not guilty to federal corruption charges that included more 11 counts of wire fraud, three of extortion, one of racketeering and one of lying to federal investigators.

The series, which pits an assortment of D-list celebrities in Survivor-esque scenarios against one another to raise money for charity, begins airing June 1. Its last winner was Cris Judd, whose main claim to fame is being married to Jennifer Lopez.
