Idol Preview: Adam Lambert Odds-On Favorite

Adam Lambert has thrived playing the high-stakes game of musical chairs that is American Idol. Now, he just needs to take it home.
The 27-year-old Los Angeles singer is a massive favorite heading into this season's home stretch, as online casino Sportbook.com places the performer, regularly dubbed as brilliant by the judges, as a 1/4 favorite.
Tuesday night, Lambert and his competition are slated to tackle an interesting theme: songs of the Rat Pack, the legendary group that included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
Odds makers said the only real threats to Lambert's throne could be charming everyman Danny Gokey (3-to-1) and teen dream Kris Allen (5-to-1); talented young crooner Allison Iraheta is a 10-to-1 shot to win. Matt Giraud, only in the competition because the judges used their get-out-of-jail-free-pass on him two weeks ago, is the competition's biggest underdog, as odds makers rank him a 75-to-1 shot (meaning he'll probably be "whacked," Idol-style, by tomorrow night). As Sinatra says, "That's Life."
