As Frank Sinatra would say, "That's Life."
Matt Giraud was voted off American Idol Wednesday night, just two weeks after the judges spared him for elimination via a new save rule.
The 23-year-old Michigan pianist received the least amount of a season-high 47 million audience votes after performing My Funny Valentine on Tuesday's Rat Pack-themed episode.
"I'll definitely remember being the cat with nine lives up here," Giraud said following his elimination. "This is definitely not the last time you'll see me."
The final four contestants -- Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Danny Gokey -- will duke it out during rock 'n' roll week, starting Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox.
