Redmond O'Neal has been in jail for more than a week and has had NO visitors, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. And while his mother has been ill, recently released from the hospital as she battles cancer, Ryan has made a point to stay away and not visit Redmond.

Redmond, who has a long history of drug abuse, is being held without bail on a probation violation that is unrelated to his recent arrest when he was found with heroin while trying to visit a friend in jail.

His probation violation stems from a "dirty" drug test while he was in rehab. Before a judge revoked his bail, Ryan had refused to spring his son, believing Redmond was better off behind bars, sources tell RadarOnline.com.

Redmond will be back in court this Friday at the Airport Court for sentencing on the probation violation. He faces up to three years in jail for that violation. Redmond's heroin possession matter will be heard in Newhall on April 24th.
