Robert Michael O'Ryan, the 34-year old Florida man who allegedly stalked Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, was a loner who had been badly injured in a car wreck, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
O'Ryan was arrested for trying to break onto the L.A. set of Dancing With The Stars, where Johnson is a contestant. Police later found loaded guns in his car, as well as duct tape and love letters.
RadarOnline.com has been investigating O'Ryan's past. Larry Robinson, who manages and lives at the RV Park near Yulee, Florida, where O'Ryan used to live, told us: “The guy was a real loner and he didn’t mix with anybody. He never had any friends or relatives visit him during the one year that he stayed here and then one night he just disappeared without any warning."
RadarOnline.com has also learned O'Ryan graduated with a degree in Engineering from University Of Florida in 1998, but has since fallen on hard times.

Robinson said: “The bank eventually re-possessed his ‘Fifth Wheel’ trailer that he used to sleep in because he stopped making the payments. Mr O’Ryan had to walk with a cane because he had been hurt in a car wreck and he couldn’t work because of his injuries."
“I was really surprised when I read that he had been arrested for stalking that gymnast in Los Angeles because he was such a quiet guy, almost like a recluse," said Robinson.
“We never saw him with any guns when he stayed here but firearms are banned at this particular park anyway.”
O’Ryan is currently being detained in custody in Los Angeles on $35,000 bail.
