Jason Castro American Idol Appearance Scrapped
Mar. 5 2009, Published 1:46 p.m. ET
Here's what you didn't see on American Idol last night: a performance by last year's contestant Jason Castro.
The reason why he didn't appear, according to the Idol blog votefortheworst.com is because Stage Mom (as they call her) arranged mass e-mails to promote his appearance and then hours later pulled the plug. The site says she "breached the terms by starting an organized appearance days in advance of it being cleared by AI."

Suddenly, Jason's appearance was cancelled and his peeps gave no reason except for "time constraints" says the site. Yes, hard to believe considering we're not really seeing him doing much else.
Jason built a reputation last season as being "difficult," says the site, which reminds us that Simon called him "too cool for school" (we love that!) and Andrew Lloyd Weber also remarked that Jason had trouble listening to anyone.
