Awkward! Luann Catches Husband Tom Flirting With His Ex
Luann and Tom D’Agostino may have exchanged vows, but that doesn’t mean the Real Housewives of New York City star is letting her new husband out of her sight just yet.
On last night’s episode, the new bride had a reason to be concerned about her husband’s whereabouts. While attending a cocktail party at Ramona Singer’s revamped apartment, a blast from the past arrived, Tom’s ex-girlfriend, Missy.
As RHONY fans know, Ramona is well aware of Missy’s dating history with Tom. In episode seven Missy revealed to Ramona that she dated Tom and wasn’t even aware they were over until she walked in on him with Luann at the Regency hotel.
“I found out that we weren’t dating anymore because I walked in on him and her at a bar,” Missy told Ramona a month ago over drinks.
Despite knowing their awkward past, Ramona still invited the three of them to her party anyway.
“Ramona is a pot stirrer. Period,” Sonja Morgan explained. “And she knows it. She just had to have Missy there and just had to have Tom there at the same time.”
Naturally, given their past, Missy’s reunion with Luann and Tom at Ramona’s apartment ended up being more than a little awkward.
“You guys met once before, I think at, uh, I wanna say at the Regency,” Tom said as he stumbled over his words with introducing his past and present ladies.
Snipped Ramona, “Yeah, Tom, of course. Missy’s never gonna forget the night she met Luann, because she thought she was still dating Tom.”
As the night carried on, Luann spotted Tom having a private conversation with his ex, but luckily she seemed to have been too far away to hear them share the following exchange:
“What is on your hand?” Missy asked Tom, pointing to his wedding ring.
“Tell me about it,” Tom replied. “I’m getting used to it. It’s like a dog with a collar.”
Luann must have suspected something was up, though, so she later prodded Tom for more information about Missy, asking if she was “the lady you dated.”
When Tom said yes, conveniently leaving out the dog collar metaphor, and told Luann that Missy was “so happy for us,” that seemed to pacify the former Countess.
“I’m still friends with my ex-husband. I totally understand how you can be friends with your exes. I think it’s a healthy thing,” Luann told the cameras.
Meanwhile, Ramona’s shady friend Harry tried to get more information out of Missy about her relationship with Tom. The flirt asked if the rumors that Tom “dragged” her into the bathroom at the Regency while he was seeing Luann were true.
Missy was vague in her reply, refusing to confirm or deny the rumors, but one thing was clear — she wasn’t interested in getting caught in Luann’s crossfire.
“I don’t want to be involved in all that…and she’ll come after me. I’m scared of that,” Missy told Harry. “With like daggers in the eyes.”
