'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond Accused of Supporting Mass Horse Slaughter

The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond has been accused of supporting mass horse slaughter, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Earlier this month, the Food Network star traveled to Arizona to speak at a trade show held by the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. Drummond boasted about the opportunity on her social media accounts alongside a photo of her "darn sassy" cowboy boots.

"The irony of me speaking to 3,500 cattlemen and cattlewomen was not lost on me, and it was an honor to speak about how much I've enjoyed sharing glimpses of ranch life on my blog, TV show, and social media for the past twelve (!) years," Drummond wrote on her official Facebook page.

However, Director of Wild Horse Affairs for Wild Horse Freedom Federation Debbie Coffey has since slammed the TV chef for partnering with an association who supports the mass slaughter of horses.

"For many years, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association has been pushing for the slaughter of America's wild horses & burros, and their organization was listed on the Steering Committee of the secretive 'Slaughter Summit' held in Utah in 2017," Coffey wrote.

Ladd Drummond's wife happily received the Distinguished Service Award from the association at the February event.

Coffey suggested that Drummond is a hypocrite, as she uses horse imagery to promote her many brands, such as her cookbooks, cookware products, blog and her TV show.

"All the while, Drummond Land & Cattle Co., co-owned by Ree's husband, Ladd Drummond, has been paid over $20 million in taxpayer dollars to warehouse captured wild horses on his private property," Coffey wrote.

"Talk about buttering your bread on both sides," the author added.

According to a news release, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association backed a bill "that would allow for humane euthanasia of wild horses and burros."

As RadarOnline.com readers know, this isn't Drummond's first rodeo when it comes to upsetting her fans. The Oklahoma native was previously accused of making racist and demeaning jokes, RadarOnline.com reported.
